 Travis joined with his
father, Gary Horney, in 1992 to create Quality
Builders, Inc. Gary had run his own construction
company, Gary Horney Construction, since March,
1973. They ran Quality Builders together until
August, 2006, when Gary retired from the family
business.
 Travis Horney has been
around the construction business
all his life.
He has also worked with a local building supply
business that taught him another aspect of the
construction business. Strong character traits of
honesty, integrity and hard work ethics were
instilled in him by his father, mother and
grandparents. He was born and raised in the Banner
Elk area with deep roots, so his company and family
are firmly planted in this area. He is also a father
of two sons and husband to a wonderful Christian
woman.
 Quality Builders Inc. is
strongly committed to keeping up to date with the
latest building laws, materials, and equipment.
Travis tries to be on each of his jobs everyday and
is involved in the actual physical work in addition
to his supervision duties. He feels that this is
very important for several reasons. First, he is
very particular about the quality of his company's
work and second, he thoroughly enjoys the
construction business and providing his customer
with the best possible quality home. |
